A week under wraps

Elisa's Goal Project
Elisa had a pretty detailed assignment due for Health, and I was able to help her. Don't get to do that much anymore, since she is learning stuff I have no idea about. Anyway, she had to make a poster about her Goals. I love making posters! I had a lot of fun helping her find pictures of things she wanted to do and places she wanted to go. It was fun and I think it turned out really nice.

Saturday Temple Trip!
On Saturday we were able to go to the Temple with the Allreds. It will most likely be the last time we go to the Temple with them for a while. They sold their house and will be gone to Montana here in the next couple weeks. :( I am really sad to have them go, but I guess it was going to happen sooner or later. I am happy that they were able to sell the house. Anyway, we got stuck in traffic, of course, so we missed the 5:00 session. But, we were there in time to go to the bookstore for a little bit. Then we went and did sealings. It was awesome. (don't know if I can put that in here, let me know if I am wrong) After, we went to Qudoba Mexican grill for dinner. Yummo! I love that place. Too bad it is all the way in Federal way. We got home around 1100. It was a long day, but it was fun. I know emotions are on edge though, cause there were a couple of times that we seemed to be a little moody. It is hard to have best friends leave.

Sunday Spider

Sunday we got up and went to church. When we got home, we had a little friend waiting for us. He had made himself a nice big home in my front flower bed. I had to take a picture. It was too cool to pass up, and Robert wanted to compare it to online photos to see if we had anything to be afraid of. We didn't, it was just a normal ol'e garden spider minding his own business. I did get some cool pics of him before the bug guys came on Monday.

Monday Mariner Maddness!
Well, Monday started off terrible. My vertigo came back and I was completely miserable. I did not have Kylee which seriously was a good thing cause I slept almost all day. I finally talked myself into getting up and taking a shower shortly before Elisa got home from school. When Robert got home around 3 I was still very nauseated from the spinning merry go round in my head. But, after talking with my PA friend Kristi, she told me to try Emetrol for the nausea. It helped and I was able to go to the Mariner game. We left around 4:20 and made it there an hour or so before game time. We were able to park at the coast guard base, or whatever they call it. We used there bathroom, which I learned is called a "head". I was always told that you learn something new every day. This was true here. We walked over to Safeco Field. We had to wait for the famous train to go by. Which was neat. We stopped to get the boys picture in front of the huge Ichiro poster. Our seats were pretty high, but it was a great view of the field. We got the famous garlic fries and chicken tenders for the budget price of $63.00. Can't beat that can you? The kids ate almost all of it, so I really can't complain that much. I didn't eat but a few fries though. I didn't think they would be too nice coming back up. .It was pretty cold, so Robert bought Hot Cocoa. Michael drank his and then said..."I have a brain heat"! I thought that was so cute. The Mariners lost which made Robert happy because he was going for the Angels, but it was a nice time and we got back at a decent hour of 1100. The kids actually didn't give me too much problems getting up in the morning either. That is always a plus!+

Tuesday!
Well, I was still not feeling well, so I made an appt with the Dr. I have sinus issues that leave fluid behind by ears basically and that causes me to have the vertigo episodes. That of course is the run down version. Fun for me! He gave me some medicine to help the nausea and the congestion in my nose, that I didn't realize I had. I feel better, so I guess he might know what he is doing...notice I said might.

Wednesday~McTeacher Night!!

Elisa and Hailey Holding the sign to draw customers!

The night that Robby has been looking forward to all month. McTeacher night. He was so excited that he wasn't going to miss his teacher Ms. Gurnsey working at McDonald's. It was a fundraiser for the school where the teachers work and proceeds of what McDonald's brings in goes to the school. The kids have blast seeing their teacher working behind the counter and I think for the most part the teachers have a good time. At least they play the role real well.

Do the Puyallup

(Warning: little lengthy and very shaky...and funny!)
Well, Friday we went to the Puyallup fair. The kids had free tickets so we said what the heck. Elisa brought her friend Jayden after a long ordeal on finding a friend to go. Anyway, it was a good time. The fair is like Disneyland though, really you can not see it all in one day if you tried. Not to mention that we didn't get up there until around 5:30. The first show we saw was the Juggling comedian. He is very funny. We have seen him before. Well, this time Robby was picked for the volunteer. He was very nervous, but he did such a great job. The cutest thing is when the guy called on Robby This is how it went:

Juggler: How, old are you?

Robby: "I'm 9"

Juggler:"Oh, I'm sorry you have to be 10....So, how old are you?"

Robby looking a bit confused, replied: "9!"

The juggler laughed and said..."Oh, well you still have to be 10, so, again how old are you?"

Now, at this time I am thinking should I tell Robby to say he is 10? Instead I whispered to him, "you are almost 10.

So Robby exclaimed: "I am almost 10!"

The juggler laughed harder and said: "well, at least you are honest, that counts for something. So we will let it go."

The video tells the rest. I was laughing pretty hard, so it is a bit shaky. Too cute not to share though. Enjoy.

Oh, and Robby was so sweet, he gave Michael his poodle named "Elephant" and when we bought the poster, he asked Roberto to sign the poster to Michael as well. I was very proud.

The weekend was uneventful so I don't have any other news to share. I have recovered from my tubing injury. I am feeling pretty good. Now I just need to get caught up on my schoolwork and the house work too. Yeah me!

Tubing Aftermath!

Well, when I hit the water from getting thrown off the tube, it was more than the cold water that was a shock to my system. I really hurt my neck. I met Robert for lunch yesterday and after looking at me he said I should go into the clinic. Well good Ole Nisqually had no openings and by then I was in quite a bit of pain so I ventured over to the ER. Fun! Being a neck injury the first thing they did was put a nice little collar on me. It isn't broken, obviously, but it is strained. I got some "drugs" that don't do anything but make me sick. I spent most of today sleeping cause the medicine makes me so sick. My neck is feeling better though. Hopefully I will be back to normal tomorrow. I was bummed cause I missed a fun game party over at Jill's. I hope she will have another one so I can go. I don't want sympathy, but I don't want laughing either...well okay you can laugh it is pretty pathetic. I posed this way for Robert. We sent it to Elisa to get her to do chores after she got home from school. It worked. LOL! =0)

Whoo hoo Elisa!

Elisa tried to waterski today!  I was so proud of her for getting out there and trying.  The weather was nice, but the water was pretty cold.  She tried really hard, but she didn't get up. We even had a little problem with the boat and I thought she was going to say forget it, but we were able to have Ryan and Tiffany's friend/neighbor pull her. I know she wanted to get up, but she did try hard and the water being cold made it hard.   I got up once, but not for very long.  After being in the water trying to help her, I was cold and my hands were so numb I couldn't hold the rope.  It was still a lot of fun.  the kids did the tube and Robert and I did it even with Elsia.  I got thrown off of the tube.  It was a shock to my system to hit that cold water, but it was lots of fun.  Tiffany and Ryan are awesome for letting us join their day and inviting us to play in the lake on the boat.  I owe learning to waterski to Ryan.  It is pretty cool to say that I can waterski.  Wish we could have hung out more this summer....where does the time go?

Busy, busy busy!

Labor Day!

We went out to Gig Harbor on Monday to visit Aunt Patti and Uncle Kim. Robert just wanted to show off his new truck, but it was fun. Robert helped Uncle Kim put up his Gazebo and the kids picked blackberries so I can make jam. The cousins were there so it was fun for the kids to hang out. We even played boogie and wii fit. It was a nice visit. It is always fun to go out and visit them.

First day of School!

Well, the kids started school on Tuesday. They were very happy to go back. I was too. Even though, I do get a little bored without them for the first couple of days. I have a new helper though. Michael's teacher had a baby over the summer and I am lucky enough to get to watch her. She is a very good baby, but I think it makes me even more sure that I am done. I love having her around but I did forget how much work babies are. Michael enjoys getting to see her every morning though since he wants a baby sister so bad. He doesn't want a baby brother though, so we will just keep borrowing girls..

.

The rest of the week was really uneventful, so I guess I havn't been "that" busy! Just really slacking on the blogging....sorry. I went to the case lot sale on McChord on Friday. Got lots of stuff. So today we cleaned out the garage. Yeah! I can park the van in there again. Still have way too much stuff, but oh well. I don't have the baby on Monday so I will go and help out at the school for a little bit. It will be fun. The kids cleaned house today while Robert and I did the garage. So, the house is clean. I just need to do laundry, but what else is new.

So, I guess that was the week in a nutshell. I am sure I forgot some stuff, so I will have to add it another day. I hope everyone had a great weekend!
