My Hero is Home!

Hello. Well, I figured it was probably about time for me to update my blog. I really am not good at this. I hope that I can start being better. Well, as you all can tell by looking at my last blog and the date, my wonderful husband is home safe and sound finally. He returned home from his tour in Iraq on June 10th. It was a wonderul reunion. The kids and I are so happy to have him home. We have been enjoying each other since he has been home. He has been on leave for a month now and he returns back to work this week. The kids still have one more month of summer break. We are preparing to move to Texas in November. Nervous about the change, but very excited about his job. Robert got selected to be an instructor at Ft. Sam. It should be a great opportunity for him. I know he will be an excellent instructor. I do know that we will miss our wonderful friends here. Well, I guess this is good for now. I will try and be better about posting.

Final countdown, and updates!

22 days! Yep that is right. That is the countdown today till Robert returns. We are so ready for him to be home and for us to be a family together again. I was looking on here and I am terrible. I never post anything. Maybe I will get better once Robert is home. A lot has gone on since Robert returned to Iraq from R&R. I started attending online classes for my early education degree. I also started working at the school. Like just two weeks ago. I love it. I work 3 hours a day helping out 3-5 teachers and it is so awesome. The boys are now so busy with Baseball that we are pretty much busy every day. I love it though. Robby is in "minor" kid pitch and just recently started pitching. He has become the starter for the team and is so excited. Michael is in "machine pitch" and doing awesome. His team has only lost 2 games this year and Michael is one of two catchers. He loves catching and he is good at it too. Elisa is ready for 7th grade to be over I am sure. She decided to play soccer this year and did an awesome job. I was very proud of her. The season is over now, but I think she will go out again next year. She is really looking forward to attending girls camp this year before going and visiting her real mom for 6 weeks. When Robert gets home we will go on a family vacation-(somewhere) and just enjoy being together again. I actually told him that he gets 2 weeks reintergration and then I am running away for a few days. I actually might too! Well, it is fun to be on here, and I hope that I can keep up on it. This really will be awesome especially since we will be moving to Texas in November. I will need to keep my friends and family imformed on what is going on with the "Texas Tanners!" More to come!

Hello all

Hi everyone!

My cousin Brigit steered me this direction. I honestly don't think I will be as awesome as she is at keeping up to date, but I will try. I think this is really a great way for us to keep in touch. Hopefully I can post fun things on here and make it interesting. I miss you all, and I hope you enjoy our little blog on the internet! The picture shown here is the day that Robert went back. We are counting down on one hand the months he has left away from us.
