So much to write about...where to begin!

Warning....a long post, feel free to just look at the pictures!

Well, as I look back on the last few months I realize that our lives have been very busy. It really seems as if the days go by a lot faster here in Texas. I thought about going back and trying to recap all that we have done, but realized that too much time has gone by for me to really give a play by play. I just decided to make a collage of pictures. After all, a picture is worth a thousand words right? I will give you just a little bit of what has been going on. Forgive me if it is a little scatter brained.

The boys finished up baseball and went right into swimming. School got out on June 4th and then the boys went to morning practices. I quit my job at the daycare on the 26th of June. I have really enjoyed being home with the boys. Dad was so awesome about taking the boys to practice in the morning when Robert or I couldn't . I really don't know what I would have done without him. He was able to get away and visit family in Utah and California for a few weeks. I know he enjoyed the break, but I hope he is glad to be home again. Robert has had quite a bit of time off here. When it is not cycle for him,(he doesn't have students) he has some down time. Elisa is visiting her real mom for the summer. She left on the 16th of June. She will return sometime in August. We miss her and can't wait for her to come home, but it sounds like she is having a good time.
So on to the pictures.....(they are not in chronological order, just randomly put)

I am really enjoying the program Picasa. I hope they show all the fun things we
have been up to.

These are a few fun pictures of swimming. The boys really enjoyed being on the swim team. The have decided to make it year round. So, in August they will start on another team. I am super excited. Michael received the most improved for his age group and he made the all star team for breast stroke. This was a huge thing. Only the top 8 times in 4 divisions makes the team. The relay team he was on made it as well. Both in the medley and freestyle. His good friend Justice made it as well. He is an excellent swimmer, I think he really pushed Michael during the season. At the All Star meet, Michael took 6th in the breastroke, and 3rd in the free relay. They got 2nd in the medley relay, but they were Disqualified. It was a bummer, but it was still a win for us. We are very proud of both of them for doing such a great job this year.

This one is the Sea World trip with Grandma. We had such a nice time. We didn't have very long, but with it being so hot, the time we had was just fine. Mom even got to ride on the Journey to Atlantis. It was so fun. The people at the ride were so patient waiting for her to get on and off the ride. It really made mine and her day.
During her stay we also went downtown San Antonio. We went to the Alamo and the River walk. It was not too hot that day, so it was a nice day.
The day before Elisa went to visit her mom we had the chance to go to a Mission game. It was Mormon Night, so there were quite a few people from our ward and other stakes. Robert couldn't make it cause he had duty, so it was just us and grandpa. It was really neat. The weather was nice and we love minor league games. Unfortunately they did not win, hence our Rally caps.
I decided to give the boys a chance to play outside. We bought this sprinkler ball that is pretty neat. They also had their water guns, so I filled up a Rubbermaid tote so they could just use that to fill up the water guns and the water sponges. They had a better idea. They used it as a mini pool. They had a good time. Nothing wrong with cheap fun!!

One Saturday we decided to travel down to Corpus Cristi. It only about 2 hours away. We didn't really know what to expect, but it was fun. Sandy beach and very hot and humid. The water is crazy warm. I had no idea that it would be that nice. The kids really enjoyed themselves. And Yes, that is Elisa playing in the sand. I told her, "it's fun to be kid once in a while huh?" She said yes...it was fun. I think she also learned NOT to wear makeup if we are going to the beach, even if it is "waterproof!"

We did however learn a very painful lesson...the spray sunscreen works great, but not in windy conditions. They boys really learned that the hard way, but handled it like champs. I felt so bad, but I did learn my lesson. Apply lotion in windy conditions or you will suffer the consequences. Michael still has the tan mark from the line of where the sunscreen did work.
(Michael on the left...Robby on the right) Robby's was actually worse, it showed up real dark the next day.
The boys were challenged to read like 100 hours in one month. If they completed the challenge they earned free Fiesta Texas 6 Flags tickets. So on one of Roberts days off he took the boys. They had a great time despite the HOT weather. Not too many pictures, but it's hard to take pictures when you are having so much fun!! There is one picture with the boys and wonder woman. Michael evidently DID NOT want to get his picture with her...but Robert, being such a gentleman insisted saying..."you need to get your picture with her cause your Mom would kill me if I came home with a picture of me and her" (yah right!)
Here in Texas, there are plenty of creatures crawling around. Here are a few that we found in our backyard. Michael really is in heaven. He wants to keep everyone for a pet. Except of course that ugly bug...that one is no longer around, cause I have no idea what it was or what it would become.
Well, I guess that about wraps it up...I hope you enjoyed the pictures. I have so many it is hard to choose which ones to share. Hopefully I will be better about posting.
Oh one last update...
I graduated from University of Phoenix. I now have my Associates degree. I begin back up on the 11th to get my Bachelors in Psychology. I am nervous, but excited. I hope I will be able to do as well as I did in my other classes.
One final picture collage...I wanted to show off my new haircut. I really enjoy it. I especially like how Robert wanted to be in my self picture!

I hope all is well with all my family and friends. Please leave comments to let me know you stopped by. I miss you!
Love ya
